Bucharest North Train StationBucharest North Train Station (Gara de Nord in Romanian) is the main train station in Bucharest and the largest in Romania. It was opened in November 1870 and after several expansion works, the train station has now 14 train platforms. The train station is used by many domestic or international trains. Once you get to Bucharest North Train Station you have connections with the Metro (Lines M1 and M4) and outside the station with the buses. Inside the train station you will find a restaurant, a fast-food, a supermarket, a post office, a ticket office, a police station, a left luggage service (in romanian “Birou bagaje de mana”) and many more. From Bucharest North Train Station you can use the Express Bus 780 or Henri Coanda Express Train to get to Henri Coanda Airport. Avoid as much as possible the taxis in this area, but if you must use a taxi, please pay attention. Ask the driver details about the tariff before and make sure the meter is turned on when the car leaves. The usual tariff is about 1.39 lei/km. Do not accept any offers from private persons.
